In todays lesson we have been looking more at different types of media language.
Looking at what these words mean and how we can use them to convey different ideas and interpretations with reguards to different artists and genres. Also to get an understanding of why artists use these different ideas and conventions.

E.G The current song "Moves like Jagger" by Maroon 5 is talking about a different icon artist but portraying it through their own music and interpretations.

STAR IMAGE- This is the image the artist gives themself. It fits in with their genre of music generally and they aim to make them selves unique and stand out.

E.G Dappy has his trademark hat which he wears in his music videos. This effects the public so much that if they buy a hat like his they say "I have just bought a Dappy hat"

ICONOGRAPHY- Specific visual features acossiated with an artist or genre such as a costume or style of dress, particular jewelry or other objects such as guns, cars etc...

E.G 50 Cent  is known for being a bad boy and a rapper. On the front of his album covers he is shown wearing alot of "bling", heavy jewelry and in his videos being associated with cars and crime.
